The winning ticket for the Literacy 2013 $10,000 draw was purchased in Corner Brook # 100. The ticket was drawn on air at CFCB radio in Corner Brook on Friday, September 13th, at 8:40 a.m.

Two employees from the Corner Brook Coleman Management Services Ltd. have something to be happy about: they won $10,000 in a ticket draw organized by the provincial Laubach Literacy Council. Sherry Humber, the Literacy Project Manager, presented Ellen Corbett and RoseAnna Colbourne their cheques of $5000 each! Congratulations!

The Newfoundland and Labrador Laubach Literacy Council Inc. and it’s Board of Directors would like to thank everyone who supported our “Literacy 2013” Fundraiser! Funds raised will support our Summer Reading for Fun program which offers one-on-one tutoring for school children needing a learning bridge over the summer months, as well as one-on-one tutoring for adults who wish to improve basic functional skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, numeracy and other essential skills. By supporting this fundraiser, your generosity will go a long way towards helping us continue to offer our free services.
